I began working in the insurance industry as a catastrophe adjuster.  When Hurricane Katrina devastated the South I went to some of the hardest hit areas, writing claim checks for home damage. My life changed completely after an encounter I had with an insured there.  This woman's whole world had been destroyed by the damage of Katrina and instead of helping make her whole again I had to bring on another wave of heartache.  This insured had not been well cared for by her insurance agent.  She thought her insurance was there to protect her, that it was going to make the situation right, but I had to be the one to tell her that her policy was going to fall very short of making her whole.  Her insurance agent didn't invest in her, they didn't educate her on the difference between Replacement Cost Value and Actual Cash Value.  From where I was standing, it felt like she was just a policy to be sold with no real care given for her best interest.  I wrote her a claim check for the Actual Cash Value of her now destroyed home and belongings, which is how her policy had been written.  Instead of giving her the money she needed to rebuild her life back to where she was before the storm, I wrote a check that, at Actual Cash Value, was only a fraction of she was going to need to begin and rebuild her life.  

It devastated me that I had to hand her another blow when she was counting on her insurance to help make things better.  The worst part was feeling powerless as to how to help her.  That's when I decided the way to right situations like this one would be to open an Insurance Agency that cared about the people it served first and foremost.  

With my experience as an adjuster, I decided to create my own agency from scratch.  It's been 13 years since I made the leap from being an adjuster to caring for people as their insurance agent.  I help people like you identify the insurance coverage that best fits their needs. I don't love sales, but I am passionate about helping people.  Being able to provide something people truly need with a product I genuinely believe in, is a no brainer.  I have the knowledge and experience to help you better understand your coverage options, whether it's your auto, home, business or life insurance, I know I can help navigate the insurance industry alongside you.

I genuinely want to take care of people the way I would want someone to take care of my family.  It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, investing into the people around me, helping protect what they hold dear.  Knowing that after the storm clears, when an adjuster shows up to write a claim check for one of my insureds, I have done everything I could to make that the moment healing begins.
